NEW PLYMOUTH CRIMINAL SESSIONS. By Telezrapb— Press Association. Nev/ Plymouth, August 18. The criminal session of the Supreme Court opened to-day before Mr. Justice Hosking. The Grand Jury retuvne')! irue bills in tho cases of John Adams (attempted rape), Percy Lewis Ward /theft), and Frederick Thomas Ellis (false pretences). The charges against Maigarct Elizabeth Close, of tho manslaughter of her infant child, were thrown out by the jury. The Court occupied the remainder of tho day hearing tho Crown evidenco in tho caso of attempted rape against John Adams. Percy Lewis Ward pleaded guilty to charges of theft, and was remanded until tomorrow morning for sentence.
