A meeting cf business men ivas held under the. auspices of the Chamber of Commerce to-night, to disc.iss the restricted railway sen-ice and the proposal to form a railway goods transit committee to supervise tho dispatch of goods by rail Tho meeting was of opinion that Wanganui was not badly off, and it was decided that there was no need at the present time to form a local committee. It was also resolved to thank tho local rail-way authorities for tho way they vera dealing with tho position.
