QUESTION OF DEDUCTION.

Some discussion on the maitor of electric lighting charges took place at last night's meeting of the City Council, when Councillor J. O. Shorlund said ho thought something should bo douo in tho direction of reducing -tho charges to small oonsumeys.

Councillors Forsyth and Luckie considered that there should bo no reductions at the present juncture. Councillor Bennett said it was only tho bis consumers who got the benofit of the reductions.
