SALE OF BLANKETS
BY DEFENCE DEPARTMENT. _In the General Headquarters i instructions issued on Saturday, tho Defence Department announces n salq of "new plain grey blankets." Particulars are given us under:— "The Department hus decided to dispose of its stock of the above, and in order to give the general public an opportunity of. purchasing these blankets •at a reasonable figure, tlic Department will sell direct to the public.- The Wa-nkets measure Glin. x Win., and weigh 'ttlb. each. Tire price is 175.. 3d. each net cash, plus postage where necessary. Postage is as follows: 1 blanket, Iβ. 01-d.; 2 blankets, Ls GUI.; 3 blankets. Is. lijd.; 4 blankets, 2s. 4jd. "The blankets may be obtained on application to tho Ordnance officer <it Auckland, Palmerston North, Christchurch, and Dunedin, and Trenthaiu and Feiitherston Military Camps; also from Hie Director of E<iuipn)ent and Ordnance Stores, Buckle- Street, Wellington. Not more than four blankets will be sold to any one individual. For purpose of Departmental cheek, purchasers are requested to ensure that they obtain a cash sale docket along with tho g00d , ;."
