Tanners, as usual, selected their requirements under the Government schedule, which is at least 50 per cent, less than current auction prices, and .this fact is causing great unoasiness amongst, thoso sending in consignments for sale. Pricos were about on a par frith previous sale, with tho exception of light cow hides, ■which- realised up to 20Jd. per lb. Tallow sold well at an advance of ss. per cwt, on" previous sale. The-N.55.
