* FORECAST AND SUMMARY AT i P.M. YESTERDAY, Present indications are for strong and squally northerly to westerly winds and elcudy, unsettled weather, with rain in many parts. Barometer fall. The barometer has fallen slowly in the south, aud freshening westerly and northerly wiuds have prevailed. Pair weather lias been experienced in the northern and East Coast districts, but elsewhere cloudy t') overcast conditions have ruled, with rain in the western portions of the South Island. B. V.
