PETONE TECHNICAL SCHOOL BOARD

MONTHLY MEETING. A meeting of the Petond -Technical School Board was held on Tuesday evening. Present: Messrs. D. M'Keii-de (in tho -cha-ir), D. Bedingfidd, G. W. Cox, M. W. Welch, P. Cavanagh, ami Cornea , .

Tho secretary of the Pc-tone Working Men's Club wrote stating that as representation on the Board of Managers by a -member of the club had been discon. tinued, he regretted that the club coulu not in futuro sco its way clear to coiu tinuo its annual donation. It was stated by the chairman that tho change in the form of representation had not been finally decided upon as yet. It hoped that tho Working Mon J s 'Club would p>. oonsidor their decision. Mr. Bedingfield thought that the board should write to tho member for the district protesting against tho change in the order of representation. This was seconded and finally agreed upon. A lottei- was received from the Director of tho Chrjstchurch Technical College asking if the board would send representatives to ii- proposed conference of technical school boards. It was proposed to hold tho conference in Wellington during tho early part of tho coming session.—lt was decided to reply to tho director stating that the board would appoint delegates to the' conference. Messrs. D. M'Kcimo, p. Bedingfield-aud G. London were appointed delegates. • Tho Polbno Borough Council wrote stating that Councillors Badingliold and Cox had been appointed as the council's representatives on the board. Tho Lower Hutt Borough Council also wroto appointing Councillor A. J, West as that body's representative. It was decided, to send a letter of appreciation to Councillor: A. J. Hobbs regretting that ho bad lost his seat on tho board
