KAITANGATA COAL MINE
WORK PROCEEDING AS USUAL. By Telegraph—Press Association. Dunedin, August 12. The management of the New Zealand Coal and Oil Company states that the fire which occurred in No. 2 mine, Kaitangata, on .Saturday, is confined to a portion of the mine. Tho part affected consisted of old workings which were nearly exhausted. This part has been sealed off permanently. The mine was working a 6 usual to-day", and the output of coal will not lw affected, the men bein<r transferred to other sections of the mine.
