THE WEATHER
FORECAST AND SUMMARY AT 4 P.M. YESTERDAY. Present indications are for strong wcEterlyovinds with a southerly tendency for a short time. Weathor changeable . with scattered rain, but heavy rain may be expected shortly on tho West. Coast' and southern portions of tho South Island. Barometer unsteady, but falling Boon. Westerly breezes have predominated, and scattered rainfall has been reported in districts with a westerly aspect and in Otago, but fair weather has ruled elsewhere.
