GERMANY'S IMMEDIATE WANTS
REPORT OF BRITISH AGRICULTURAL COMMISSION.
London, August 9. In a Whito Paper Dr. Ernest Starling and the Commission of Agriculturists which was 6ent to Germany, Teport that Germany is broken in body,and spirit, and owing 1 to tlio semi-starvation'of the people during the war a -long tirao will be required to restore her efficiency. The report states that if the Allies supply working capital to restart tho German machines they will acquire a measure of control obtainable in no other war, and the certainty of a steady contribution to tho expenses for tho damage caused by the war. Her urgent needs are food for' tho workers, concentrated feeding stud's, manuro9 for agriculture, raw materials—chiefly cotton, 'wool, and flax—leather, and iron ore, and certain other ores.
