Admiral Rodman, .'it a navy banquet, was about to deliver a speech -referring to future ware in which tho American navy may havo to take part, when he was ordered-to suppress the speech. Mr. J. Daniels (Secretary of tho Navv) lias explained that tho Navy Department thought the admiral's intended remarks undesirable.—Aus.-N.Z. Cable Assn.
