STATEMENT TN HOUSE OF COMMONS. . '' London, August fi. The First Lord of the Admiralty (Mr. W. H. Long) stated in tho House of Commons that no attempt would bo made to salve the majority of the German ships which # wero sunk at Scapa l"ow. The authorities were only raising tile vessels which had been beached in water, tho cost of which was not large.—Aus.-N.Z. Cable Assn.
