Messrs. Dalgoty and Company, Ltd., report'having'held their fortnightly Bale in the' Levin yards on Wednesday, when they, offered-to a good attendance of the public a "heavy yarding of sheop and a medium, entry, of cattle. Competition through-
out'too salo was exceptionally keen, esi pccially - for wethers and hoggets, and business was dono at a rate considerably exceeding previous salo prices. -In their entry were somo really good lines of hoggets, and for these keen biddine was elicited. A line of 100 on account of Messrs. J. E. and L. A. M'Donald made the satisfactory price of 30s. 6d. Other sales were as under:—On account of Jlr. h. V. Kay, who lately disposed of his property:—2oo mixed-sex shorn hoggets, Z3s. 2d.; 85 small hoggets, 14 5 . U.; 60 two-tooth wethers, 31s. 6d.; '1/0 sound-mouth breed-ing-ewes, 31a:-3(I.; on account of other vendors: good! woolly hoggets, 255. 7d. to 255. 9d.; medium woolly hoggets, 16s. to 19b. iOd.; medium weight fat wethers, '475.; poor-conditioned empty ewes, Me. to 17s. 6d.; poor-conditioned cull owes, Ps. to 125.; catllo: poor-conditioned empty coab, £8 to £9 15b.; mixed-sex weaners, 255. to 325. 6d.; poor-conditioned yearling 6tters, 475, to 51s.
