LONDON WOOL SALES
- Messrs. Dalgety and Company, Ltd., have received tho following oablegram, dated August 1, from their London office ;-Wool-The wool-sales closed firm. As"-compared with the closing rates oi last eales, average and good to fine merinos'.were lower by 10 per cent., and inferior and faulty 5 per cont. to 10 per cent.- Kno quality crossbreds showed a deoline of 5 per cent., and medium and coarse 5 per cent, to 10 par cent lho export buying wna limited as follows :- I'or Franco, 30,000 bales; for Belgium, 17000; for Canada, 1000; for Italy, SOOO. Belgian and'l'rench buyers were operating?freely. ■ The next sales mil open on August Ml, when the probable quantity to be offered will be 70,000 bales..On this occasion the United ■ States, Japan, and neutrals will also be allowed to participate.
