The Japanese Embassy has announced that Chinese soldiers attacked a Japanese military detachment at Kuancohwigku, in Manchuria, killing sixteen soldiers and wounding seventeen others. Tho Chinese Government has apologised for tho incident, dismissed the commanders ,of the Chinese forces involved and has reprimanded tho Government of the piovince where the incident 'occurred.—Aus.-N.Z.
