MANAGEMENT COMMITTEE MEETS
The weekly meeting: of the Management Committee of the Wf.ngton R,,gby Union was held last night, when thoro were presenh Messrs. AY. Hoi nig (in the cliair , J. Lundon, H Biiclc, Ji. Perry, W. H. Donovan, J. Prendeville, W. Cook, ond Mr. 'JV H. Jom (hon. S6 The Porinia Club, through Mr. DProsser, notified that it was prepared to pav £\ a Saturday towards taansnorting the two teams to Porinia. On the motion of Mr. Prondevillo it was decided to leave the matter of making. satisfactory transportation arrangements jn thehniida of the , chairman arid secretary, and that tho union pay all fares over Is. to boys playing in the fifth grade It was also SeoldeS-to write to the Por.rn.. Club thanking them for their oiler,,and also informing them that they will not be called on to.pay unless absolutely nece=- "■ Sa 'i ? he -Atliletic- Club ■ wrote protesting acainst tho union's decision to play an extra , round in tho third pion?hip (in which Athletic is eading by 5 points at the present time), and to■ count only the final round games. Jhe matter was held over till next meeting,, when' all the lower grade championships will be considered. ,- Mr T 11. Jones, referee in tho Jiei-liampore-Wellington College junior match on Saturday, forwarded a report ol the match. He stated that he had to order a Berhamporo player oft for •using o> scene language; also that several playei = of tho same team had to be cautioned and the conduct of some of tho barracken was very hostile. The payer who was ordered oil' was suspended until he appears before tho committee. lho meeting also decided to send a copy o the letter to the Berhampore Club and to ask for the attendance of tho captain of the team, and a fifth grado Berhampore player at the next meeting of tho "rSe" meeting decided to-report to the New Zealand Rugby Union Moms, lollock, Tancred, and Scott for playing tho League code.. Clubs aro to asked to report all players who have gone over to League tbis season. Two teams from the G.P.O. were granted permission to play~on Athletic Park to-morrow, subject to the ground being in a fit playing condition. Victoria College fifteen were granted permission to play their annual fixture, with Canterbury College at ChristcTiurch °The' Auckland Rugby Union wrote notifying that it would be impossible to send a team to Wellington with the present state of train arrangements.. . Mr. AV. Donovan wroto resigning me position as ono of the selectors of the Wellington representative . team, Hie resignation was accepted with regret, and tho matter of appointing another selector was left over till nest week.
