WOOL SALES
Tho New Zealand Loan and Mercantile Agency Company, Limited, have received the following cablegram from their London house under dato August 1: AVool sales closed. Merino and medium coarso crossbred are 5 per cent, lower. Mossrs. Murray, Koberts, and Co., Ltd., are In receipt of the following cablegram from their London agents, dated August I:—"Compared with last London sales' closing rates, crossbred fino declined 5 per cent.; crossbred, other descriptions, declined 5 per cent, to 10 per cent."
The Bank of New Zealand has received tho following cablegram from its London office, under date August 1:—"Tho wool sales have closed with prices easier. Current prices:—Merinos, 37d. to 4Zd.; half.lireds, 40d. to 44d.; crossbrcds, fine, 35d. to 39d.; crossbreds, medium, 24d. to 27d.; crosßbreds, coarse, 19d. to 21d." 1
Messrs. Levin and Co., Ltd.. have received the following cablegram from London, dated August I:—"As compared with June 'sales; tho closing July sales show: Fine crosßbreds 5 per cent.; and other descrip-'tions-10 per cent, cheaper."
