EULOGISES THE BRITISH ARMIES. London, July 80. Marshal Foch, receiving the freedom of the city, reviewed the campaign on the Western front. He paid a tribute to the skill of the British generals and the valour of the armies, the wonderful work of the munition makers, and the magnificent display of the armies of the overseas Dominions. In the great coun-ter-attacks of August, 1918, onwards, the British troops had fought with unsurpassable dash end 'bravery. They never stopped smashing the German machine until the armistice imposed a halt — Aus.-N.Z. Cable Assn.
