SENTENCES OP THE COURTMARTIAL. - (Rec. August 1, 5.55 p.m.) Paris, July 28. Tho Luon informers havo been sentenced as follow:—Toque and soven others to death, and others to various twins of imprisonment, including Thomas, to a year. Six were acquitted.—Aus.-N.Z. Cable Assn. [Twenty-iive prisoners, described as tho informers of Laon—twenty are French, including hvelvo women, four ,itb Germans, and one is a Belgian—wero arraigned for rteason a-nd syping. The chief was a German named Thomas, an Alsatian, who acted in Laon as a Hun secret agent. Mis chief business was to unearth stray Allied soldiers and induce tho French lo spy on one another. Alost of the other prisoners wero his dupes or paid agents. Sehorii was shot as tho rrsult; of tho gang's denunciation, and many others were imprisoned. Thomas was arrested in' Paris. Ho supplied the authorities with information of those in Germany s pay during tho occupation of I/aon. The most notable of tho prisoners is Toque, au ex-colonial administrator, who betrayed many his compatriots.]
