' Considerable interest is being taken in the representative match which takes place on the Basin Reserve to-morrow between the local team and Canterbury. As a curtain-raiser, an Association game. l>etwecn Brooklyn. and Y.M.C.A.: will take place, commencing sharp nt 1.00, -and given fine weather patrons should be able to enjoy a gcoU afternoon's sport. Tho League game is. very fast and lends itself to open spectacular play. Canterbury ore noted for their fine open play, and will bo represented by their be,;t team, captained by W. J. Mitchell, who acted in that capacity during the visit of the New Zealand team in New South Wales recently. The Wellington tram will incjiido .several players new to representative games, but u verv strong side has been selected, and if. Tari;red, Parker, and Wilson arrive back from Australia, where they have been touring with the New Zealand team, on time, Wellington will have its best side. ' Tho Canterbury team will arrive in Wellington to-morrow morning, and will probably stay at the Albert Hotel. After the'match <he.teams will dino together, when a reception will be tendered the visitors.
