FIRES AT KAKARAMEA
'By Telegraph—Special Correspondent. Wanganui, July 31. The country gonoritlly is fairly immune from fires, but an outbreak occurred at Kakaramea on Monday morning last, which resulted in tho destruction of the butcher's shop and dwelling occupied by Mrs. Quimi and fumily. As n mailer of fact, there were two fires. The first outbreak was at the Kakurainea Hotel, some boarders Vicing awakened by the smell of smoke.
