Mr. Masscy Greene, Federal Minister of Trade and Customs, speaking at the annual dinner of the Chamber of Commerce in reference to ■ tho strike, said the Government was determined to see the law observed. He warned the members of the chamber against the prevailing unrest which was caused by high prices, and appealed to them to tackle the problem troui the community's standpoint, and thereby check the public outcry for Governmental interference. He concluded that he believed the leaders of commerce were able to do more to settle the unrest than all the Governments in Australia combined.
