Strang left with tho Main Body as a private, •ind returned as a lieutenant in March last.- Tho wife's conduct in Ms absence was the ground of tho present suit. Tho ease- is unfinished. '
With elaborate ceremony tho Prince of Walee was initiated as Freemason at a pppcial meeting of the Household Brigade, Lodge at Princes Hotel, London. A largo and distinguished attendance included Prince Arthur of Connaught. The ceremony was conducted by the Duko of Corinaught, Worshipful Master of , the Lodge, and Grand Master of English Freemasonry, insisted ' J .V Lord Ampthill, Pro. Grand Master. In thanking tho loilcro for the. honour conferred upon him, His Royal Highness complied with tho traditions of the Household Brigade Lodge by compressing bis speech in Iho five words: "Worshipful Master, I thank yon." In thus entering the rp.nks of Masonry the Prince of Wales fulfilled a wish expressed w'lien ho was at Oxford. It would have reached accomplishment earlier but for the war.
