SHOOTING FATALITIES
By TolOßTat/h—Preoa Annotation. Christchurch-, July 30. ••' An inquest was held to-day on Charles Leslie Inwood, aged 52, a farmer at. Upper Wiiitohi, who was found shot in Lmwood Park this morning, and died in Hie hospital. Evidence was given that deceased surfered from neurasthenia A verdict was returned that deceased shot himself whilo temporarily of unsound mind. , ' , Eleanor Coventry,, aged 11 years, who had been temporarily left alone in her parents' house, Sydenham, was found by a neighbour suli'ering from a gunshot wound in the abdomen tins afternoon. She died shortly after admission to the hospital. At the inquest ovidenco was tendered that tho gun had not been used for ten months, and was unloaded. Urtridges were kept apart from tho gun on a shelf in a cupboard. Tho inquest was adjourned till to-morrow for medical ami other evidonce.
