THE ALLIES' MEDAL
AN. UNAUTHORISED RIBBO&. Some returned soldiers are wearing, in addition to the riband of the British War Medal; recently authorised; a riband containing twenty-one narrow bars ol various colours. This riband, which is slated to contain the colours of all the Allies, has been thought to be that of the Allies' Medal, and it appears to have had some recognition in official circles at one stage. The local military authorities state now that the design, riband, and condi* lions of award of the Allies' Medal •havo not yet been finally decided, and that tin- many-coloured riband "is bogus and of no military significance whatever." Thin unauthorised ribbon must not be worn on military uniform.' '.
