SHOCKING TRAIN ACCIDENT

RETURNED SOLDIER. KILLED. (By Telegraph—Special Correspondent.) Wanganui, July 29. A shocking accident occurred at Aramoho railway station to-night, a returned man, Private T. M. Kano, believed to be a resident of Waitara, having been very badly mangled. It appears that deceased started to step off the train, which had arrived from Wellington, as it was backing into the station, and he fell between tho carriages. The body -was dragged about 40 feet before the' train was stopped at the platform. Death must have been instantaneous.
