FORECAST AND SUMMARY AT 4 P.M. YESTERDAY. Present indicittiona are Tor strong and Bqually 'south-east anu cast winds, backins to northerly shortly in the south. Weather cloudy and unsettled, with rain generally, and further heavy rain on the East Coast ot the North Island, and also in the northern districts,. Barometer unsteady, but tailing everywhere soon. Strong south-east winds have predominated, and weather has been squally and unsettled generally, with rain in many Sarts, and heavy rain along the tast oast of the North Islam!
