"THE DANDIES." The company of costume comedy entertainers appearing in the Concert Chamber of thy Town Hall are an exceptionally bright and clever lot of people. Associated with tlio party of Dandies are a party of musicians, the Kennedy Company, some members of whom are exceedingly accomplished performers. The Dandies' offer the sort of entertainment which many, previous companies havo offered in Wellington, and experience has shown that the New Zealand public never tires of the. kind of light music and- gentle humour and whimsicality, introduced into the programme. "THE HAYSEEDS." "The Hayseeds," Beaumont Smith's splendid pieturisation of life on a. wayback selection, will be shown at Everybody's Theatre for a season of one week, commencing on Saturday next. The story is of the Hayseeds and the Duggans, neighbours on adjoining sections. The homo life of the Hayseeds provides a great deal of wholesome comedy. Joe Hayseed and Nancy Duggtin are obvious lovers, but trouble sprinw up between the neighbours b?eauso Dad Hayseed's cows get. into Dad Duggan's corn. There is a lively and very spectacular meleo on the boundary line, which ends in a stalemate, as both sides become exhausted. The feud continues, until one nay a bush fire threatens the home of the Duggans. The bad feeling disappears, in a trice, the Hayseeds join their neighbours in fighting the enemy, and happy relationships are once more established. The interrupted love story of Joe and Nancy resumes it? placid flow, and the wedding is a stirring event, though like everything else Hint, the;? good' .people havo anything to do with, it is very funny for the onlookers. Joe and Nancy depart for their new home. The story is capped by the quaintest piece of humour imaginable. The box plan is now open at the theatre.
