-•-should bo 30s. to members. It vvas iV.'pointed' out that there were practically two'-. Volumes embodied in this issue, and the price was below actual cost. It was'resolved to supply copies at cost
price to non-members. Tho question of vevising hie rules was ! considered, and it' was decided to liave a draft copy forwarded to each member of the council, and a revised draft bo ""submitted "to the annual■ meeting 1 of the , esociation, to 1m held at Palmcrston •during the show in November. On tho question of transfers, it was . reported, that animals were bcin.tr sold > on transfer before .being enteral, and ir.' passed for registration. It was decided ' .« notice ' that all stock must .registered or accepted for rp.gist.ra—."turn before sale, otherwise no guaran-
ri-fee'.of.'a transfer to the purchaser could given; also that although. the- pro.Eeny of. registered stock were'- eligible : "'' for registration, the were all subject In insnection by an official judee of t'>e association. and no owners or stock . (merits could guarantee that these cattle .would be transferred unless they had been duly "entered and passed for registration prior to sale. •In connection with tho annual pedigree sales, it was resolved to ask the Other Breeds Association to appoint '..'delegates to a conferenc with a. eview ■t -to placing these sales on a better foot- ;; ■.■'ihg.--and that more control of same be iundertaken by the A. and P.-Associa-tion and the Breeds Association. "Reference was made to the departure ''; of Mr. E. Law, the first president of tho association, who was removing to tho Te - I'uko district. Mr. Law will still con- -' tinue as a member of the council and "as-judge.
