ENTERTAINMENTS
FAREWELL TO MR. LEX. BARNES.
For the complimentary concert to Mr. Len. Barnes at the Town Hall oil Thursday evening next, it is safe to say that no better programme has been offered to the public this year. The programme will contain several features, including Percy Grainger's quaint yet beautiful "Seiitimentals," presented by Miss Teresa M'Enroo, Mr. H. F. Wood, and .Mr. Harold Whittle. Another fine number will be the trio from the final scene in Gounod's "Faust," ."Holy Aiigels, to bo sung by Miss M'En roe, Signor C'esaroiii, and Mr. 11. F. Wood. Mr. Barnes is to sing "The' Calf of Gold" ("Faust"), and "Denny Dcever," and will bo associated with Mr. Martin Duff in the duet "Watchman, What of the Night?" Miss M'Enroo will join once more with Mr. Barnes in the duet from "II Trovatore," in which they woro heard to such advantago-at. the recent performance of the opera, by the Choral Union. Mr. Martin Duff will sinjr "The Message," Miss Tliurea Rogers will contribute a Polish dance, anil Mrs. Maud Bletsoe-Buckeridge will sing "At Midnight on My Pillow Lying" (from "Erininie"), with a whistling obbligalo by Mrs. Winnie Birch-Johnson. Signor Lucien Cesaroni is to sing that fine solo, "Infelice," from "Ermani," and .Mr. H. F Wood will sing the charming ballad "Mattinata," so recently popularised here by Signor Capclli. Messrs. Albert Russell and W. W. Crawford will supply humorous songs and sketches, and Mrs. Billie Green will sing Landon Ronald's son", "Prelude." Messrs. Harold Whittle aiuf Albert Thomas will preside at the pianoforte.
