It contains several new clauses, together with modifications of the original draft. It is' pointed out that the text embodies l'eDlies to the various Austrian Notes. A reply is demanded within ten days — Aus.-N.Z. Cable Assn. f An. earlier message stated that fifteen davs would be allowed for a reply.! (Rec. July 21, 9.10 p.m.) Paris, July 20. The Austrian Treaty assigns to Austria territories within Czecho-Slovakia and Hungary inhabited by Germanspeaking population, abolishes conscription. and restricts the manufacture of war material to a single Slate-controlled factory. The economic clauses have been modified. ' The Austrian Army is limited to 30.000 men. The additional clauses of the Treaty mainly concern reparation. The amount of dauwjjo and the period for payment are similar to those fixed in the German Treaty. : Austria is to surrender her shipping on a ton for ton basis within two months, and also must be prepared within sixty days to supply lists of animals, machinery, etc., for the replacement of similar goods destroyed by Austria. Austria is also to surrender historical and artistic material taken from invaded territory. Three jurists shall determine what property was taken illegally by the Hapsburg and other dynasties from Italy, Belgium, Poland, and Czecho-Slovakia.—Aus.-N.Z..
