Sir Archibald Orr-Ewing, Bart., of Lennoxbank, Dumbartonshire, was found dead in -a plantation in Leicestershire 011 April 22, near the house of a relutivo with whom he was. ftaying. lie went out for a long walk the previous morning, ami as he did not ictuiu a search party win sent out. lie had a bullet, wound 111 tho head. Sir Archibald was (ili years of age, and married a daughter of tho third Lord Sidmouth. in 1879. The younger of his two wins, a captain in the Scots Guards, was killed in 19111. The new baronet is Rngadier-ileneral Norman Orr-Ewing D.5.0., Scots Guards. A 'large number of fire engines were called to the House of Commons 011 April 22. It was found that ono of tho fuseboxes in connection with the electric lighting arrangements had taken fire in the Central Hail owing to a defective, circuit. Tho blaze was rpiickly extinguished with sand, no serious damago being done.
