The sudden death took place at Pleasant Poiut on Sunday, states a Press Association message from Timaru, of the Rev. .T. Gunn, Presbyterian minister, who arrived at Pleasant Point only.'a few weeks ago from Roxburgh. He hod held a morning' service at Knkahu and was to havo taken one at Pleasant Point in the afternoon. As he did not arrive a car went for him, and he was found lying dead beside his bicycle. Heart failure was tho cause of death. Deceased leaves a widow and five children.

Mr. Albert Spencer, president of the Auckland Provincial Employers' Association, has been elected chairman of the Industrial Committee of the Auckland District Depatriation Board.
A Press Association telegram received from Hnwera last night stated that Mr. R. M. M. Ci. Laurent died thero yesterday morning, aged 93. Deceased was grandfather of Lieutenant Laurent, V.C. Ho had been present at the welcomo to the latter last week, and was proud and gratified to see his grandson return. Deceased was formerly a major in the French Army.
