PORTIONS CEDEIi TO BRITAIN. (Rcc. July 19, 9.45 n.m.) Paris, July 18. Belgium has agreed to cede to Britain considerable portions of hor old Congo possessions in the region of Lalcfc Tanganyika, in exchange for a large part of German East Africa. Britain thereby assures Cape to Cairo communication while Belgium receives seven million subjects, with territories, and only abandons three million natives.—Aus.N.Z. Cable Assn. .
