Clynes moved the adjournment of tho House in order to call attention to the Government/a failure to prosecute Sir Edward Carson for his re. cent speech, which incited violence and was calculated to endanger the safety of the realm. The motion was rejected bv 217 votes to 73. after the AttorneyGeneral and Mr. Bonar Law had emphasised that no law was broken, Sir Edward Carson's speech being hypothe-tical.—Aus.-N.Z, Cable Assn.
