Waihi, July 17. : Recently, the' Ohinemuri brunch of the Amalgamated Society of Engineers made application to Wie mine-owners for certain'increases in wages to bring tliem in line with the increases granted through the court to engineers elsewhere in the Dominion, and as a result of a conference here an amicable settlement was reached and ratified at a meeting of tho union. ln.st nislit.
