l_4 _ WELLINGTON EAST CLUB. In addition to taking part in the keen inter-club matches now in progress the abo\-c club is holding several interesting competitions under its own auspices, with the satisfactory result that a great improvement in the members' markuian«hip is noticeable. "Possibles" are registered each shooting night, and it takes a good man lo win a trophy from scratch. The S.M.R.C. Bell medal was 'won by Vice-Captain Smart, with a tine score, each of his 28 shots finding Hie bull. Mr. Smart also carried off the S.M.R.C. Koberts medal mid the first of Ihe I'.cliineliam trophies. The second and third Fcllingham trophies wero won by \\. h. Staples and S. Millington respectively. J. A. Staples took the S.M.R.C. "Lxprcs* medal, the Spencer tronli.y fell to W . i Haase, the Smart (handicap) trophy to ,T. W. Longman, and the Osmond trophy | to Ahler.s.
