At the annual conference- of the Taranaki.and Wanganui Women's Christian Temneranco Union a motion was passed urcmir the Government, in view of the larire number of court cases in which women and children are concerned, to nnnrpnt women Justices of the Peace Thfi motion further urged that sensible woman, who would have a much clearer understanding than men of delicate questions should be selected, and that also in certain cases they should have the nower to suppress undesirable Press reBorts.
