AN INTERESTING STEAMER
ONE OF GERMANY'S "INVADING FLEET." The transport Kigoma, which arrived from Emrland. via Panama, on Tuesday with New Zealand troops, is a vessel with a history. She was a fincly-ap-liuintwl unit ot : the German East Africa line, and was in German waters during Hie term of the war. Whilst there she underwent, internal alterations, of a. very comprehensive character, which were to enable her to carry COOO tresis of the invadimr force that was to land on the oast coast of England "after von Tirnitz had destroyed the British Navy. The vessel fell into the hands of the revolutionaries at Kiel last year, and it is stated that several representatives ot I he. German "rat" class were summarily tried in the Kigoma's 6aloon, and subsequently luuißcd from her booms. The Kisroma leaves to-day for Newcastle, where she will take in bunker coal subsequently loading wheat at bydncv for Bombay, and from there will take a draft of troops back to England.
