A GERMAN ADMISSION
How far tho German people admit their guilt is uncertain, but the "Frankfurter Zeitimg" has printed an article containing the following:— « "Our chiefs havo deceived ns, but our people have deceived themselves by their approval of submarine warfare and all the outrageous doings in battle instead of listening to the voice of reason i and humanity. What ought not to havo beon said of tho violation of 'Belgium, of the annexations in the East, and of tho violent treaty of/: -BrestLitovsk? The people has given its .governors full fling. Wo cherished full confidence in our strength. Every time wo won a defensive battlo we never tired of shouting victory, Tho sure aim of our long-range guns was good enough for us as tho grounds of appreciations on the international situation. The whole mass of tho nation marched step by 6tep with Ludendorff."
