GERMANS RATIFY TREATY

Herr Erzbergcr, German Finance Minister, in a dexterous speech in tho National Assembly, pointed out the necessity for homogeneous taxation to enable Germany to pay the indemnities aml war loans, lie emphasised that Germany's parole was just and honourable, and' thev must work, otherwise they would be without food.
