A gamo in the senior division, which | ] should prove a big attraction, will be that i set down for to-morrow afternoon on tho i Basin Reserve between t'ho Y.M.C.A. and < Thistle teams. The supporters o{ both elevens are confident,, and as Y.M.C.A. has had its side considerably strengthened, the public who witness the match may expect a hard-fought contest. Thistle '. are only,two points behind Y.M.CiA. in the senior division competition, the " totals being 13 and 15 points respectively; but Thistle hnvo yet a match in hand to be replayed, as owing to a peculiar set of circumstances two footballs burst dur- • ing 'the progress of the game at Porirua last Saturday.' The last timo Y.M.CiA. and Thistlo met, tho latter won by four ' goals-to'one, but, as before stated the Y.M.C.A. has now a decidedly improved • eleven. The turf on the Basin Reserve is excellent at present and conducive to j "fast going." The game commonces at | 2.45 p.m.: sharp, and a nominal charge of . 6d. will be made. Mr. A. E. Wells will ' referee. The weekly meeting of the Management Committee of tho Wellington Football Association was held on Wednesday, when there 'were present Messrs. W. fAuld (in tho chair), A. E. Wells. R. Hendry, H. Youman, H. Spolsky, W. Duncan, L. White, and H. L. Godber (act- | ing secretary). ' A letter' was received from the' Town Clerk'stating that the Council liud. ei anted the association tho right lo charge for admission to the Basin Reserve on threo days during tho s&ison. It was decided that the chair ivm and the tct-ing-sflcretnry draw up the days on which a charge would be ma-io. A Knrori/ player, wh6 was injured in a match, claimed ;H|-ment of the doctor's account.' Owing'to the K.-irori Club not having paid its insurance fees,' the application was not granted. In this connection the secretary was instructed to write to club's regarding the iuMiiauee rule. ' - The Petone Club applied for a nfm.d of train fares paid 'vh-m rheiv Fifth B team was brought into .fown when games had been postponed. The application was granted. The Knrori Club entered a protest as to one of the rulings of• the -referee in the Marist-Karori second-grade match. It was decided to ask the referco to report on his alleged ruling.' The referee of tho Poi-irua-Thistle match played last Saturday forwarded a letter, in which he stated 'that the ball' burst and the match had to lie stopped.- He also fainted that tho Thistle team arrived late, and also that he had to tako exception to the conduct of somo of the Thistle supporters. Regarding tho. stoppage of the game it was decided to replay tho match. It was also decided to .write the Thisilo Club askini? for nn explanation of their supporters' conduct.
