> o SIR JOSEPH WARD INTERVIEWED. New York, July 5. Sir Joseph Ward, in an interview, said that New Zealand was satisfied with the terras of tho Treaty. "We aro chiefly interested," ho said, "in tho preservation of the Samoans, and wo regard tho arrangement by which tho islands will be under tho associate administration of Britain and tho Unfted States as satisfactory.'' Tho ex-Kaiser would be tried, and probably exiled. Sir Joseph Ward arrived in tho Mauretania. Mr. Miissey left the ship at Halifax (Nova Scotia).—Aus.-N.Z. Cablo Assn.
