In the world's lawn tennis champion.ship, the first and second sets were evenly contested, both player? playing a safe name. Brookes opened well in the third set, but seemed to tire. In the challenge round of the Wimbledon Tourney, Patterson beat Brookes, 6-3, 7-5, 6-2. Semi-final: Miss Ityan and Lycett beat Mrs. Larcoinlio and Thomas, G—2, G—3.— Aus.-N.Z. Cable Assn.
