SHOP ASSISTANT ARRESTED

A shop assistant named Ganderton was discovered by Hie police at the door of his employer's shop at midnight with his overcoat pockets filled with goods. When uccostcd ho said ho had bought (ho articles, but this his employer denied. Gandorton's lodgings wero searched, and a collection of goods valued at .£2O was found. At the Police Court this morning a remand was granted for a week. Bail was refused.
