The Australian Press Agency learns that owing to Petloura (leader of the revolutionaries in the Ukraine) milking a 'compart with the Bolshevists against the Poles, and collecting ten thousand troops at Proskurov, the Peace Conference has allowed General Hal'.er's army to occupy Galicia' pending (be granting' of selfdetermination lo the people. ■The .Rumanians have informed, the Entente that they will not withdraw from.Hungary until Hungary carries out her engagements. - The situation in Russia generally is unchanged. .There is such unrest-in the lied Army that the leaders consider it dangerous to arm the newsy-mobilised men, aud are sending them lo the front without'rifles. The- Lettish .troops reached Jaegel, nine miles from Riga. The Germans are • evacuating Riga, where the Needra Ministry has been dissolved. The War Minister has been arrested.
