Ovor ,£IOO was given away in prizes, and the encouragement induced some of the tat '■ ploughmen of'the island to competo. The work done received the warm appreciation of the.judges. In addition to ploughing operations associated with the horse, a traction, ploughing competition wfla also held and excited considerable in-. , terost. TbV results wero:—'.
