MOTION OF NO-CONFIDENCE. Melbourne, July 3. In the House of Representatives, Mr. Higgs moved a motion of want of confidence in the Government, complaining that insufficient information was given to the Houso concerning the Peaco terms. Tho motion was listlessly / debated. Mr. Groom introduced a Bill to extend the operations of tho control regulations concerning dairy produce, sugar, flax, and wheat, for periods beyond the expiration of the AVar Precautions Act.—Press Assn.
NATIONALIST PLATFORM. Melbourne, July 3. The Nationalist Conference has agreed upon a plank platform calling for a Parliamentary convention representing all parties in tho Parliaments of tho Commonwealth as early as possible, to consider a scheme for the abolition of friction and overlapping, and to ensure moro economical government.—Press Assn.
