FEDERATION AND OWNERS. TO MEET. The conference of the Coal Mine Owners' Association which has been sitting in Wellington concluded yesterdny. The iissociation decided to agree to meet the representatives of the Coal Miners' Federation to consider their, demands, after individual companies have had sufficient opportunity of considering what the effect of the demands may be. The' association <il?o decided to suggest (o the federation tlint the conference bo open to the Press.
With regard to the neaco celebrations, it. was decided that all coal mines in the Dominion be closed down for the thy, July 1!), and that n day's pay at shift rate of wages bo paid to all mine workers. '
