« FORECAST AND SUMMARY AT 4 P.M. YESTERDAY. Present indications are for high southerly ■winds and cold, boisterous weather. Ham is probable generally, and snow in many parts of tho South Island. Barometer rise everywhere soon. The disturba-nco which has dominated during the past few days ifl now apparently centred off the East Coast of the South Island. Unsettled conditions have continued goncrally, with' rain in many parts, and snow on some of the higher levels of the South Island. Moderate to Etrong west and south-west winds have predominated. D.
